New start - the founding of PPS

On September 1, 2024, our experienced team began its work under the newly established PPS. With years of expertise and a clear focus on innovation and customer benefit, we are entering a new era of consulting.

New construction of PM4 - A future project of Progroup Paper PM4 GmbH

Since January 2023, PPS has taken over project management for a groundbreaking initiative in the paper industry. Our range of services extends from feasibility studies to project planning and pre-engineering. In the next 24 months, the existing plant will be systematically dismantled in order to subsequently realize the construction of the state-of-the-art production facility.

Project PM1 Max - Progroup Paper PM1 GmbH

From January 2021 to May 2023, our team took on the project management for the planned renovation of the stock preparation and boiler house of PM1 at Progroup. Our tasks included budget management, detailed scheduling, supplier management, contract management and overall reporting.

With a planned investment volume of 58 million euros, the project was set to cover an area of 43.5 hectares. A central component was the expansion of the recycled paper area from 11,000 to 25,000 tons. Additionally, it was planned to replace the existing boiler house with a modern system featuring three large-capacity water boilers, each capable of producing 45 tons of steam per hour. These measures enable to an increase of production to 450,000 tons per year and significantly improve the efficiency and sustainability of the facility.

Piping installation PM2 - Successful implementation at SCA Obbola

From July 2021 to July 2022, we collaborated with the companies Gothe and Voith to implement the piping construction for SCA's PM2 in Obbola - from the technical drawing to operational, labelled piping system.

As the deputy project management for the assembly company, we were responsible for key tasks such as procurement and contract management, logistics, assembly coordination, reporting and technical clarifications. Thanks to our structured approach and close collaboration with all parties involved, the project was successfully completed.

Project Taurus - The most modern paper mill in the world

In January 2018, Progroup began the construction of the world's most modern paper mill for corrugated base paper. The PPS team was responsible for the entire project management - from the planning phase in 2018, through the groundbreaking in January 2019 to the successful start of production in August 2020.

With an investment volume of 520 million euros and an area of 44 hectares, the plant is now setting new standards in the paper industry. Annually, 865,000 tons of recovered paper are recycled here, from which 750,000 tons of base paper are produced. Our tasks in this project included budget management, detailed scheduling, supplier management, contract management and the entire reporting system. One of the biggest challenges was the efficient coordination of 160 suppliers, 1,500 construction workers and 500 construction containers - a complex interplay that we successfully managed to ensure the scheduled start of production.

Process consulting for Hoberg & Driesch - efficiency through optimization

The aim of our process consulting was to question and optimize existing processes of the construction of a new high-bay warehouse. For this, we relied on the proven DMAIC cycle:

1. Analysis of the existing processes and creation of a comprehensive process map in Visio.

2. identification of vulnerabilities and optimization potential.

3. development and implementation of concrete measures to increase efficiency.

Thanks to this structured approach, we were able to significantly contribute to the optimization of internal processes and achieve a sustainable increase in efficiency for our customer.
